픽셀아트 설치 Pixel Art Installation
강인한 여성을 상징하는 가족사진을 기반으로 한 픽셀 아트 작업을 출력하여 보호막과 같은 이미지의 투명한 여백이 있는 액자에 담았고, 두꺼운 밧줄과 함께 설치했습니다. 작품을 보는 사람은 액자 속 픽셀 아트와 함께 두꺼운 밧줄을 보았을 때 ‘끈기’나 ‘결속력’과 같은 이미지를 생각하거나 ‘구속감’을 느낄 수 있습니다. 만약 밧줄의 풀어헤쳐지거나 끊어진 부분이 중요하게 느껴진다면 ‘자유’의 이미지가 먼저 떠오를 수도 있을 것이라 생각합니다. 저의 가족에게서 본 강인함에는 앞서 이야기한 모든 것이 함축되어 있고, 제가 파랑새 프로젝트에서 가장 드러내고 싶은 것은 이런 한마디로 설명할 수 없는 복잡한 강인함입니다.
Pixel artwork based on family photos representing strong women was printed and placed in a frame with clear margins, such as a shield, and installed with a thick rope. When viewing a thick rope with pixel art in the frame, the viewer can think of images such as ‘strain’ or ‘solidarity’ or feel ‘perseverance’. If the loose and broken parts of the rope feel important, the image of freedom may come first. The strength I saw in my family is implicit in everything I’ve said before, and what I want to reveal most about the blue-bird project is a complex strength that I can’t explain in a word like this.
